Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to staff a PA Nonbelievers booth at upcoming street fairs, in particular these first-time events for us:

Hazleton – FunFest on Sunday, September 13
Gettysburg – Adams County Heritage Festival on Sunday, September 20
Chambersburg – Apple Fest on Saturday, October 17

We need to apply as early as possible to get a space, but if we apply and no one shows up we could lose our chance to participate in future events as vendors who actually show up are given future preference.

Times vary for these events but typically run from late morning to late afternoon or early evening. We need to make sure that we will have someone reliable–at least one person but more than one is better–at the booth during the entire time of the event. And someone needs to be responsible for the items we will be selling or handing out since there is cost involved, even on the free handouts.

Gettysburg and Chambersburg would involve free hand-outs only, Hazleton would also involve selling small items such as bumper stickers and buttons. We will also have our PAN booth for the second year at the Reading PrideFest on Sunday, July 19; for the tenth year at the Harrisburg PrideFest on Saturday, July 25; and for the ninth year at the East Pennsboro PumpkinFest on October 10 and 11 (Harrisburg West Shore area).

If you can staff one or more of these booths for any amount of time, please let us know as soon as possible. But please don’t sign up if you are not going to honor your commitment–we need to show these communities that nonbelievers are as good as their word.
