Dear Atheist and other Atheists,

I have an interest in getting some Humanistic Judaism things going locally.   If one defines Judaism as an evolving civilization, like a culture or a secular tribe, not a religion, one can be a Jewish Atheist.   There is an incredibly rich and beautiful culture in Judaism, and I think it would appeal to many.

We could have secular seders (Passover),  secular New Year's get-togethers, that sort of thing.  A party is a party is a party, and all would be welcome.

Also, we could have discussions on the collective tribal wisdom and how to bring elements of this to bear in our daily lives.   I don't want to throw out the rich traditions and customs (the baby) with the theistic bathwater.

Anyone interested?      Maura Smith-Mitsky 717 856-0915
